Hey Maxx users... Was having software glitches and heat problems for no apparent reason with the phone on a recent business trip, so called Asurion since still under a warranty with them for an insurance replacement to my well used Razr Maxx. When i balked at being offered a new replacement for the Maxx, they offered me a Razr HD (no Maxx HD's) or a Galaxy S3. Leaving the offer on the table, i went to do some comparing before i call back.
In the mean time, what say any of you regarding the dilemma: receive a new Maxx :-\ , refurbed Razr HD ;) or refurbed Galaxy S3  .
Thanks for your thoughts!

The puppy in your photo is beautiful. I have to assume that you enjoy the battery on the Maxx. That being said, if it were me I'd go Razr HD > Razr Maxx > S3. I think many people would put the S3 on top. Good luck!

NOTHINGISTRUE: Thanks for the firing order... Feel the same way!
Yeah that's 'Z' our Siberian Husky / Wolf (25%) mix. He's cool....
Peace

I put the Maxx on top personally. The Razr HD a close second and the S3 dead last. The Maxx wins out on battery life. The two Motorola's are head for the closer to stock android UI and better phone reception and call quality. Oh and can you say kevlar? lol

Thanks TheDroidURLookinFor! Indeed i pulled the trigger on the Razr HD; battery life amazing and phone... well, too cool! Loving it.... Fiercely using it these past days and getting 12hrs! We'll see when i add LOTS of calling too.
Peace

Ditto with me. Although the SG4 looks pretty sweet.

As a replacement... and you like the battery life of the Maxx... I'd go with the Maxx first, then the S3 and last the Razr HD. Personally, I'm upgrading to the S4 (32G hopefully) in about a month as a late birthday gift to myself... at full price since I want to keep my unlimited data.

Hi,

I upgraded from a Razr Maxx to a Razr HD.
No comparison. The HD has about the same battery life as the Maxx due to better power management and a more efficient processor.
My daughter has an S3 and I think the build quality is not as good as Motorola.

Razr HD over the Razr Maxx for the screen and processor alone.
The S3 definitely better than the Razr Maxx.
Between the S3 and the HD is a real toss up.
Removable Battery vs. Build Quality
The processor and most other features are comparable.
The processors are the same.

The Razr Maxx is old tech, go for the new tech.

Build Quality... great buzz word... and that is all it is a buzz word. I've been seeing these words put together and thrown around for the HTC One. It's just talk for how solid it looks or "feels"... nothing about the ACTUAL Build Quality INSIDE!!! And most people are not going to know how the device was actually built or what was put inside the device... build quality... just a buzz word that people like to throw out there and they have no idea what it actually is.

I would have to disagree with this. The build quality of a Motorola is high on the inside as well. They have the best radios in the industry. The only thing Motorola lacks in is the software. If they could figure out the software they would be number one. Even the best hardware is only as good as the software that is running on it.
