upgraded through bestbuy ..phone defective after 3 months

i upgraded to a s6 edge plus and now the phone is acting up(wife is currently using it on cricket) the phonehas a black screen with the little X on the bottom popping up all the time. the gear VR app popping up all the time interrupting everything im doing with the phone. im using an LG V10 which i got from swappa.

should i go to verizon or bestbuy?

will verizon give me problem because i dont have the phone attached to my account since im using my v10?

If you want it replaced through Verizon then it needs to be active on a Verizon line when you call in. You can pop in a Verizon sim right before calling

Before any replacement you'll have to FDR. That sounds like a software issue and not a hardware one. And yes, it'll need to be active on that line or else the warranty eligibility flag will be jacked up.
