Hi all,
New poster here, year-long Dinc user though. If you have time to read and respond to this post, I'd greatly appreciate it. Here's my situation.
I signed a new 2-year contract to get my Dinc in November 2010. At the time, Verizon still offered the $15 for 150MB data plans (now extinct), and that's what I'm still on. I mostly use Wifi and only use 3G to check email, navigation, internet browsing, etc. 150MB has been enough for me. However, I'd love to get the new Galaxy Nexus for ICS, a better screen, and heck, just a fun toy.
I understand that I am still grandfathered in for one last 1-year upgrade as I am the primary user on a family plan. If I chose to go this route and buy a Galaxy Nexus soon, I presume I'd have to sign a new 2-year contract. Since my $15 data plan is no longer offered, would my new contract require me to sign up for their current $30/2GB data plan? Or would I be able to get the new phone at an upgraded price without changing my current data plan, just extending the length of my contract?
Any comments, suggestions, or feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!
