Upgrading sadly :'(

As the title says, I'm sadly upgrading. As I'm on my grandfather's plan. He picked out another free phone for me again. I was hoping for Htc Evo 4g LTE. This time he got me the "LG Mach". And as always I do a little research, and this is what I have found and what mattets to me

Pros: I like that is a slider, has android on it, stock ics, (XD), and the sd card slot, the soft buttons and it can be rooted. Not as easily as my Optimus s, but its root. Who cares? .

Cons: LOCKED BOOTLOADER. Once more for emphasis. LOCKED BOOTLOADER. That means NO CUSTOM RECOVERIES OR ROMS. There is a way I found to get Jellybean onto it. But I'm going to keep it stock for a little bit in case some problems arise. NO REAL DEVELOPMENT AT ALL!! The only dev'ing I have found is the Jellybean "ROM".

I really wanted a phone that I know that is compatible with Minecraft PE and Temple Run. I can't find anything about compatibility for those apps and the Mach.

And to make everything even worse, my grandfather wants to give the OptiS to Sprint's buyback program for $5.00. I don't think they will take it with a blowwn front speaker and scratched screen. And then I would have mo use for my case and extended battery that I have bought for it.

My parents won't even buy me one off ebay with a bad esn. I can't because im only 15( 16 in one month.

I was just about to start working on porting roms and trying to learn to build from source but I'm leaning more to the porting side because I have a little bit of experience with it. And I wish to give back to the community. I want to make someone happy. Hey, johnny5449 is only 14/15, and if he can do it, then I can too!

If someone would wish to get me an s or v (bad esn or not), that they don't need/want or just wish to buy me one for the heck of it, it would mean everything to me. I love this phone and the Frickin' AMAZING community I found. I'm glad I found AC FORUMS. This phone would be kind of shi*ty without the help of this community.

KUDOS- TO ALL OF THE FRICKIN' AMAZING DEVS HERE. You have made my first experience with android a great one. I love you all(no homo intended).

As most people do I will continue to hang around the forums and continue to help people and what not. If I'm not able to get qnother OptiS soon I'm surely going to go crazy soon .

Thanks for reading everyone. "Leaving" this epic community is going to be hard. Good luck to all current devs and future devs. This community is great, Let it never die down. Show those new s4's what we can do!

I know its hard but look on the bright side.. Your still on Android and playing with something new even if its not what you wanted. In the end it will make you a more well rounded individual in the Android community having multiple devices under your belt as you go along.

Don't give up on those thoughts and ideas of development! Its dreams like yours that have gotten us to the point were at today with devices that had little or no support and someone comes along determined to breath life into a device

Yeah , everyone hates their devices being taken away, but I geuss I will have to learn how to deal without my first and favorite android device.

P.s.: My Mach has been shipped and will be here in 2-4 days. Maybe one day if I'm lucky they said up at the sprint store. I will make sure to post pics of it and say my temporary goodbyes.
