Hi everyone,

I want to update the current car stereo in my Honda Element to one with Android Auto and wanted to turn to this community for input. I own a Motorola X Pure and my current stereo is a double DIN system.

My price point is around $500. I do not need a CD player/DVD player.

I did some research online and found a couple of units that fit my price point and features. One in particular is the Pioneer SPH-DA120. It has good reviews on the Best Buy website.

Any advice/suggestions are appreciated.

Pioneer is pretty good - I've had their Nav for about 6 years (but stopped using it once Maps started working decently).

I'm still waiting, though - I want an "in-dash phone" - have the phone connect to the radio and perform all functions on either one. And that's still in the future. (So is universal Bluetooth, actually - some day, any Bluetooth phone will connect with any Bluetooth radio and be able to use all functions that stock Bluetooth has - we're not there yet.)

I like Kenwood units. I am probably going to get one of the DNX units because my wife refuses to use any phone GPS, and they have Garmin built in. That also makes them much more expensive. I think the DDX models are just multimedia units. Might want to look at them.
