I currently am running Android 6.0 (3.38.502.41) on my HTC One M9. From what I can tell online, I should be able to move to Android 7.0. I am a Cricket customer with and AT&T phone. When I go to Settings and then select AT&T software updates. Yes, it actually says AT&T software updates. I only say that because I have tried calling Cricket, HTC and AT&T and they all asked me that question. Anyway, when I select AT&T software updates, it says no updates available. This is how I previously upgraded to 6.0. Is there a way to get Android 7.0 on my phone?

Re: Upgrading to Android 7.0

Welcome to Android Central! Typically, carrier-specific phones have to be on that carrier's network to get the official update over-the-air. You might consider getting an AT&T prepaid SIM for a month just so that you can be on the network and try to update.

Sometimes you just need a SIM card from the carrier the phone is branded with, even if it's a deactivated one.
