Upgrading to new SD card, a question...

I'd like to replace my 8GB card with a 16GB card.

I know that I can easily transfer any audio, pictures, video, etc. from my old card to my computer and then on to my new card. However, there other files that get placed on this drive (tmp, app folders, etc.).

Do I need to worry about these miscellaneous files/folders left on my old card or do I need to simply copy everything over?

Im doing the same thing, can anyone else confirm that just copying everything over will be fine?

Thanks

Why wouldn't it not be fine? The code of the files aren't changing so the phone should decipher the files just as if the SD card was not changed at all.

I did the same thing. I copied everything over to my 16GB card and it has worked flawlessly since doing it.

NEVER copy stuff over from one card to another.
I always copy to the computer....
Then I add files a few at a time.
If you have a bad file or sector on the old card, it will transfer to the new one.

Just my experience.
