Yay! The Galaxy Nexus came out today! The bad news, however, is that I can't purchase it at the subsidized price because my upgrade is in exactly 14 days. Now, I've had my lovely Incredible for 20 months, what's two weeks to Verizon? Is there any way to get around this and upgrade early?

Two weeks will pass soon enough. The time will only make your desire that much greater. :-)

Go to a corporate store (not a kiosk, not an authorized reseller) and ask. Or call customer service and ask. I'm having problems with my phone (it's not charging properly) and asked about bumping my upgrade from March until now. They said I probably could, but couldn't get the newest phones. They said iPhone and RAZR, but obviously the Gal Nex falls into the same category... so I'm waiting. For now.

Call customer service and you can probably get a manager to over-ride it and push your upgrade date forward.

Back when I worked at a VZW call center earlier this year, we did this all the time. At least in tech support, we had to upgrade at least 5 customers a month. However, at that time, we weren't able to push foward upgrades for iPhones due to the very high demand for it. It may be true for some of their newer, popular devices as well. There's always a catch...

Managers would be more than happy to push forward an upgrade date by 1 month at maximum to make a sale happen. We even had competitions to see which employee had the most upgrades and also which team comprised of 10 employees each in the whole call-center had the most overall and would get rewards for it.

Go for it!

I agree call customer service and see what happens. If that does not work call telesales and see what they say. I've had good luck with that in the past but I had to order the phone from them and have it shipped overnight.

Only the customer care can offer early upgrades. The stores can't offer that option
