URGENT!! Forgot pattern Locked out of my phone

Forgot my pattern, just changed yesterday. Tried it too many times now phone want my gmail. My gmail ID works fine on any computer, but my HTC Sensation will not recognize it. Yes, I have a reeeealy old phone, so I'm hoping that someone can help.
I have ton of contacts and don't want to lose them, is there a way to get into my phone?:'(

If you have your Gmail ID and password you can install the free app AndroidLost on your phone from another internet connected device's web browser. Then you can:

before you take it to the Service people where you bought it for a basic reset. You don't want them to have access to your data either, do you? So better wipe it all before you hand it over.
Of course you have a good, recent backup data set of the phone stored somewhere close so that you can restore that to the phone after its reset, don't you?

If you just want to factory reset then try this:
Step 1: Keep Press Volume down + Call buttom "Green Button over the screen" and then Power all the above need press together until you will get bootup screen with following option

Power Off
Air Plane mode
Restart Phone

Step 2: Select "Restart Phone"

Step 3: As phone goes to restart keep press Volume + Home + back button till the white screen comes

Step 4: and done you will get white screen with following options

Restart
Factory reset
Something else

Pick factory reset and you will be done.
