US Cellular Desire problem.

The last three weeks I have had several issues with my Desire.
1. Phone will not charge properly charges for 20 min then shows full battery until I change screens or programs then drops to the actual level.
2. My contacts back up will force close for hours up to three hours being the longest. That time was every 45 seconds to two minutes for three hours in a row.
3. Phone freezes or reboots constantly.
4. Multi touch and double tap to resize only works very part time.
I have removed all downloaded programs and put in the stock battery and the issues are still present. I did put the extended battery back so I could make it 13/15 hours as the stock battery dies in 5/6.
US Cells solution is I need a task killer. When I ask why they can't answer and get offended when I point out the task killer won't fix any of these issues.
Any suggestions? Have had the phone since August. The last three weeks are almost enough to go back to a Berry ( don't want to but may not be able to use this this way till February plus I payed good money for a phone to only last 3/4 months)

Have you tried or are you willing to try and do a factory reset?

Lol, I would bet my next paycheck that a task killer won't help. A factory reset would prob be a good idea.

I haven't tried a factory reset yet. Is there any other way to back up contacts besides the US Cell program if I could do that I would reset.

yes you can sync them to your gmail account,

go to settings>accounts and sync> on this screen you should have your gmail account open it make sure your contacts is checked off and hit sync....

you can also export your contacts to the SD card
from your contacts list hit the menu button , hit the more button, then select export to SD

Any advice on how to get my calendar and sms back. Have sync on the computer but it did not bring these two back sms isn't a big deal but calendar appointments are very critical.
Still have battery and freezing issues.

if you do the previous goggle sync that i suggested it should backup your calendar aswell. did you try this?

for sms there are many apps that will back them up but i usually just email them to myself.

When I hit the sync it does the bottom two but the sync circle on the calendar section spins but does not go away like the others.

have you logged into your Google account on the computer and see what has synced so far, perhaps it synced even though you dont see it complete

also do you have any other email account like yahoo or outlook that you can add and try to sync?

Ok i cant stay up anymore,,,if you get your calendar backed up along with everything else,

To factory reset,,,,from the home screen , hit the menu key Settings>privacy> Factory data reset

Sorry my son woke up in the process of getting hum to sleep I fell asleep as well. Tried my HTC sync, g mail, and yahoo to no avail but got a rep to send a replacement. Thanks for al the help.

My desire reboots itself i even went as far as factory reset and the phone still reboots itself
