Wonder why Huawei Honor didn't include CDMA bands on the Honor 8. Sprint and Verizon have a lot of customers. Google Nexus has done it.

Probably cost prohibitive for them to do so.

The Honor would be awesome on Verizon. Let Honor know.

Not really a cost issue but since they would have to use a qualcomm baseband processor (or use a processor which has cdma on the soc).

Google, Zte and lenovo was able to do it so it certainly is possible.

The real issue is that they don't want to go though Verizon and Sprint certification. Sprint won't work without certification. Verizon will with lte band 13,but only with an active sim. Neither are preferable.

The sales numbers aren't large enough for them to deal with it.

Also to add... Nextbit advertised Verizon support... Then reneged when it became more challenging than what they expected.

Google, lenovo, and zte has had practice having made Verizon specific devices... Honor is in the same boat as nextbit here.

And yes I know that Huawei made the 6p but Google did the software and likely dealt with Verizon for approval
