USB Audio Issues ?

I have 2 different cars that both claim they support USB audio, as well as an iPod interface, but neither of these 2 cars (both 2010 models) can recognize that I have docked my Galaxy Nexus via USB.

Both cars charge the phone, but no audio. Both cars say ?Please dock USB device?. Any ideas?
Is there a new version of the USB audio standard or something?

Any other devices that might make it work. Any help would be appreciated, please I cannot buy another car, but thanks anyway...

The fact that the phone doesnt have USB mass storage because it has no sd card is likely the issue. The phone uses mtp when you plug it into a computer, which is pretty good for transfering things. Your car probably doesnt have that protocol.

I do bluetooth to stream
