Anyone else having problems with a USB car charger?

I bought the Belkin USB charger, 2.1 A output, it charges my phone my iPod and an iPad just fine, but won't charge my Prime. Tried different cars with no luck and the used the same cable that i use to charge the Prime on an AC outlet.

Any ideas?

Yeah, what oldman43 said.

Car chargers always keep the voltage down, as you don't want to suck your car battery dry for obvious reasons. The tablet is a battery hog, so you definitely want to power it down and charge it. And when you're in the car and using it, shut off wifi and try to keep the brightness low as possible to save some battery.

Thanks for the help.

I will be doing some traveling coming up and just needed to have a way to charge the Prime, power down while charge won't be a problem for me.
