USB Connection Problems - Help!!!

Had my X since August. No problems ever connecting to computeria USB to transfer music. Computer is Dell with Vista. Since the Froyo update, when I connect to computer via USB, the phone keeps saying over and over "Preparing SD card", but the phone never shows up on my computer. Eventually, my computer freezes up until I pull the phone out of the USB slot. I have tried to re-download the Motorola drivers, but that has not helped. Anyone have any thoughts??

It will give you the "how to" make your SD card visible to your computer as a flash drive. The option you want is "USB Mass Storage".

Well, I see the link doesn't work, so here's the info...

I couldn't find the setting to change how the SD card is viewed by my computer. Here's the answer:

Plug in X to PC, wait until "USB connection" shows in pull down menu on home page (IGNORE the "Connection Detected" message). Touch "USB connection" and Lo!! The menu to change how the SD card operates.

Don't forget, you want the USB Mass Storage to have the X visible as a flash drive.
