Question USB connectivity problem

Hi,

I have a USB connection problem.

I first noticed it when I bought a new car, with Android Auto. I have to connect my phone by wire, but nothing happens. Other phones work just fine.

Then I found out that my phone also does not connect to my pc (macbook) and also does not connect to my chromebook. I switched cables and USB-ports, but nothing works.

I don't get a notification to ask me what kind connection I would like: data/midi/... and also there is no notification in my drop down menu.

When I connect any wire to any port in my car/macbook/chromebook my phone charges, but it doesn't seem to recognize a computer.

Does anyone have a solution?

I have a: Google one plus Nord N10 5g
With OS: Android 11

#edit: I tried turning it off and on again many times

Are you plugging into a data port or power port in your car?
Have you tried to connect to a windows computer?

I only have 1 port in my car and when I connect another phone to it, it starts android auto immediately. (So I guess it is a data port)

No I don't have a windows computer, so I can't try it.

No, I turned that off, because my microphone doesn't (or at least didn't) work when I got/made a phonecall on 5G

I tried turning 5g on, sadly no succes, still no connection.

Google is extending wireless Android Auto support to all smartphones running Android 11 with 5GHz WiFi capabilities.

Seems you must use 5g for wireless aa.
Try unpairing, forgetting the device, then repairing while on 5gwifi.
