Hello,

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G with the latest updates. My battery was having problem so I have to replace the battery. Since then, when I plugged my phone to my laptop, the "USB for File Transfer" no longer showed up, my phone does charge though. As of now, my laptop couldn't recognize my phone and I was not able to transfer any files between my phone and my laptop.

I have checked the USB cable and it's working properly, so how could I get the "USB for File Transfer" option back?

Any suggestions/comments are much appreciated.

Thank you.

I went to Developer options/Default USB configuration
Transfering and checked the Transfering files option, reboot my phone, plug in and still it won't show up in my laptop. I used the same cable with my Samsung S20 FE 5G phone and have no problem, it showed up in the laptop.

What could be the cause of the issue with my Note 20?

Thank you.

Yes, I have tried different USB cables and also another laptop, same results. My S20 FE 5G worked fine but not the Note 20. I think there's something wrong inside the Note 20 and probably needed to be repaired.
That's why I'm suggesting cheaper to buy a new data cable to try and at least you have a known good cable if it doesn't, you can also try safe mode and see if the USB menu pops up
