Hello and very good day to all. Recently i bought a new samsung 64 gb usb, and had faced no problems when copying files from and to the usb via the computer. I have to use usb on the go, so i use OTG. But heres the problem, it says that the usb is corrupt and needs format. I checked the partition type and its fat32. Is formatting the only option i have?

Probably, BUT if you can still read it in the PC, you should be able to salvage the data by copying it to the PC, then format the USB drive then copy the data back.

Thabks for the advice. The usb content was copied over but now the usb have transformed into removable disk, with insert disk popup...... is the usb dead?

You should have the option of formatting it to regular storage OR to combine it with internal storage. It may be something is wrong with the card. They are cheap enough to easily replace. If you are in the US, often Amazon has them on sale. A good place to check for internet sale items is Thrifter. http://www.thrifter.com
