USB Keyboard

Does anyone know if there's a way to prevent the on-screen keyboard from popping up when there is a usb keyboard plugged in similar to the way that the on-screen kb doesn't come up on a device with a hardware kb (D2, Epic, etc)? I bought the leather case with built-in usb keyboard, and it's annoying to have to dismiss the on-screen every time. But by the same token, I don't want to have to jump through hoops to get it on-screen when the usb kb is unplugged either.

my case w/keyboard was 25$...im just getting it today.. I'm curious... did anyone ever figure out an answer?
