I did the OTA update to ICS on my stock unrooted phone a few days ago. Now when I plug it into my Mac (10.7.4), I'm not able to mount the phone at all. I have an external SD card and the Mac does not see any of the phone. With GB I could easily mount the phone (even without external SD card) and transfer files.
I have enabled debugging and tried the options for Media device (MTP) and Camera (PTP) but no luck. Is this really a change with ICS and is there ANY way to connect to a Mac with USB to transfer files without using an app? I've seen the thread on USB Mass Storage but I'm not sure if they're talking about the same thing.
