Does the HTC One Google Play Edition support USB OTG (you know, where you can plug a flash drive into your phone via a micro usb to female usb dongle)? Also, for USB OTG, do you have to have a special micro usb to female usb dongle or will any work? Thanks.

I tried an OTG cable on the Nexus 7 and my Rezound and it did not work on either, I have yet to try it on the One. the Nexus 7 you either need to be rooted or there is a paid app. I would get confirmation before buying it to make sure it works.

Thank you but that is referring to the sense version. I know that it works for the sense version. My question is whether it works with the Google play edition.

OTG works with the GPe on Switch. Don't know if Paul O'Brien modified it in or not, but I doubt it.

I can confirm that USB OTG works with the GPE HTC One. I have tested it with a flash drive, mouse, and keyboard and they all work. It is pretty cool. In fact, I am typing this posting with my keyboard that is attached to my phone.

Thanks, good to know that works. I have occasionally plugged a card reader into my phone to post or send photos from my camera when on the go, but haven't tried it with the HOG yet.
