Usb transfers extremely slow p30 pro

Transfering files to a usb stick goes very slowly. Generally it transfers about 400mb almost instantly. After that the transfer freezes for a bit and then goes very very slow. Huawei p30 pro

Welcome to Android Central! Does the USB drive have its own built-in OTG connector, or are you using an OTG adapter with it?
