If you do not use a credit card when pre-odering the Atrix 4G you will be rejected.

(Yes this means debt cards and cash will not work)

You can call them and order with a debit card over the phone though. I did, and it's already showing as having been debited from my checking account.

I tried using both my credit card. It wouldn't accept it. And the salesperson couldn't do it via telephone. I ended up having to preorder at a store.

Same here, I had to take two trips to my ATT store because I didn't have a credit card on me, only a debt.

You may get rejected in a few days.

That's what the people at my local store told me at least.

Lady asked for a credit card number and I read my number off my debit card (as always) and no problems. They have already taken the money from my account so I'm not sure how this rejection process would work. I'm not sure how any one can tell if it's a credit card or not. It's like going to WalMart and swiping your debit card and then clicking the credit button and signing your name instead of putting in your PIN code.

We'll see I do suppose

I pre-ordered using my debit/credit card on the premiere site yesterday morning and they took my money and the order shows processing. Hopefully it doesnt get rejected, so far so good though.

Yep - Same here. I never use a regular credit card anymore, and the money has already been removed from my account as well.
