Use a tablet Sim on a Pixel?

I'm with t-mobile.

Is it possible to use a tablet Sim on my Pixel?

Really don't need another phone line. Just need data on my pixel to run some apps.

Don't have T-Mobile but on Verizon I can pop my Tab S2 SIM into a phone and it gets data, but doesn't allow talk/text. I would assume it's the same way.

I can now confirm..

Bought a t-mobile sim in Amazon, called tmobile and got it activated for data only.

Works with my Pixel XL
