Unlocked Fascinate thanks!!

This is awesome!!! Thanks I've been looking for this for a while, but what if I want to use it again after. Like I plan on giving this to my lil bro and getting a Dinc 2.. But he can't have it quite yet, and besides I wouldn't mind still having my super amoled screen :).. And in this "unlocked" state I can still use wifi right?... Sorry if these questions are dumb but I would rather ask dumb questions rather then do something dumb

I did this last night and it worked great . Yes the WiFi works. I'm not sure if you can use it as a phone again , but my guess is that you could.

Ohh OK sounds good with the WiFi, but i do eventually want to use it again as a phone for my lil bro or any other reason... so ill hold off until someone post otherwise that i can bring it "back to Verizon" thanks though :)

This is good info to have IF and when i ever do retire this guy..but its gunna be awhile ;)

Good to know, does that work for any android phone or is there a unique code for each one? I am actually using my phone in wifi only mode right now (I am in South America, and not in one of the two cities that has CDMA) and it has been doing pretty well to use skype in/out for calls. The outrageous thing is that the battery lasts longer using it this way, even with a lot of talk time and texts and browsing and such, than it does in the US where it has the "luxury" of a normal cell network.

Every other phone you just touch the top left, top right, bottom right, bottom left corners of the activation screen and it lets you through. The fascinate is actually the P.I.T.A. of the android family.

The better battery life is because your phone isn't using and cellular data, which is the highest power radio on the device, so the wifi calling saves you battery, and the rest of the time none of the antennas can do anything anyway.

Good job Timmy.
Golly, thanks Mister Wizard!

This surely shoots a hole in any theories about how you should leave wi-fi off when youre not using it (or set it to some sort of power save mode). I have GPS, wifi, and BT on and the phone will run for days (As long as i am associated to the wifi network).
