* Easy to get up and Running. Download the My Phone app on your PC from Windows store and follow few easy steps.
* You can grant notification access and your PC will notify you when your phone has a notification.
* You can dismiss notifications from your PC, but, you can't interact with them. For example, if you receive an email, you will see the notification, but clicking on it does nothing.
* Similarly, if you get a WhatsApp text, you will be notified you have one but you can't really reply to that text
* If you are a conventional text user, you will love link to windows. You can see all your texts, reply to texts, and even start new texts from your PC. wish that's the case for WhatsApp texts.
* Samsung gallery Available to browse pictures and videos. Nice to be able to do so without having to connect the phone to your PC

Over all, it was a nice to have integration. Being able to see notifications on my phone and dismiss them without needing to grab my phone was nice.

I use and like but don't like the fact you can't see image or video previews. Have to swap to phone to see.

I use it once in a while. I think that it's pretty limited though.

Interesting. When I try to install SideSync on my phone, it says it isn't compatible. I have Samsung Flow instead, which I'm not impressed with.

Your Phone is much better. If I want to transfer files, I'll take the extra 5 seconds and connect via USB. I also don't have to pair with it every time I want to use it.

I'll stick with Your Phone and if I need more advanced features, use DeX.

I have a separate post about SideSync. Not sure why it shows Note 10 not compatible anymore. It sucks. Need it for my tablet.

Nope. I know what that is. It is not a replacement to SideSync.

Yeah it's not the same but Samsung Flow is supposed to be the replacement for Sidesync. You'll probably have to find the APK of sidesync if you still want to use it but not sure how well it'll still work.

Your Phone is not better than SideSync however.

You can use Whatsapp Web (web.whatsapp.com) on your computer instead. Your phone still needs to be connected to a data connection, however, but it's pretty neat. What I like about this is that you can see the images sent in a conversation BUT, unlike viewing them on the mobile version, they don't download to your device's Whataspp folder, so you can go through memes and junk GIFs without having to clean up the device afterwards (but the images, should you want to keep them, are still available to download/save onto your device).

Also, SideSync is being deprecated soon (it's already been for a couple years, but official end of life was September 16, 2019.

Samsung officially pulls SideSync from Google Play Store this Oct15. It worked for me for Samsung devices 5 - 8 though don't have 9 so cannot vouch. With 10 devices they only support Flow. For those that saw its usefulness it had been a great joy to use... as for its replacement not so much. If your using a Mac PC you're out of luck since Samsung has shown only support for Microsoft and Windows. It's unfortunate as other solutions are not as impressive. RIP SideSync!

I'm so happy I was able to get Sidesync on my note 10 before they removed it . I'm going to continue to use it until it stops working. As if right now Link to windows doesn't do what I want it to do and Samsung flow has never worked for me for some reason.

Your Phone is not better than SideSync however.

Your Phone was not designed to replace Side Sync. Your Phone is a MICROSOFT app, not a Samsung app. Microsoft partnered with Samsung on the Link to Windows capability.

Microsoft published the Your Phone app over a year ago. I had been using it on my Note 8.

For those of you comparing Link to Windows with SideSync, Flow or DeX, your comparisons are not an apples to apples comparison.

Both SideSync and Flow are SAMSUNG apps designed to transfer files between your phone and a laptop/desktop provide a few other functions.

DeX was designed to turn your phone into a laptop/desktop (with limited functionality) like Microsoft's Continuum did before Microsoft cancelled its Windows Mobile arm.

All of them are SAMSUNG designed and produced applications.

Your Phone is a MICROSOFT designed and produced application and it has been around for a while and is not exclusively a Samsung compatible product. It was not designed as a SideSync, Flow, DeX or even iMessage replacement.

There are SOME redundant capabilities between the different apps, but ultimately Link to Windows is a COMPANION app that allows you to use your phone for certain things without having to pick up your phone,

What do you suggest as a replacement for SideSync for mirroring the little phone screen into one corner of the PC screen?

DeX gives you the most capabilities. It's much better if you have dual monitors.

Otherwise, there isn't much out there.

Personally, I just use Your Phone. If I need to transfer files, I connect via USB.

Yes but doesn't Dex just take the control from the PC? I want to be using a PC with access to my phone in a little screen in the corner - not the other way around!
