Had a training class all last week and actually used my Tab S3 for class notes. I used One Note as I seemed to pick it up the quickest. Tried Evernote and just couldn't get the feel of it, not saying it's not good as it gets great reviews I just couldn't get the feel of it like one note. Only issue I had was the lock screen, I had to set it to a 30min lock as I didn't have the screen on all the time and when it would wake up I had to keep unlocking it.

I created a new Notebook with the name of the class and then each new day I would ad a new section to kept it organized that way. I only had 2 to 3 pages of notes a day but being able to pinch or pull on a page helped out a lot.

I still have Evernote loaded so I think I'll keep playing with it and see if I can figure it out.

What have you guys used to take notes over a multiple day event?

S-Note was awesome. Then they started messing with it and removing features and then changed it to the travesty that is Samsung Notes today and ruined it. Far better than OneNote.

But yeah, Evernote is crap. Not sure why it has such great reviews, and after their move to monetize tiers it's even worse. OneNote is the better alternative now, and that's not saying much.

I got the s3 also only thing I don't like is the finger print scanner doesn't seem that good

I've been taking notes "for real" for a couple weeks on mine. I have to watch webinars all the time and turn in a report on them to keep an important certification, so I'm able to watch on the tablet and take notes as I'm watching. It's great.

If you are going to take a lot of notes, try LectureNotes. I find it very intuitive to use just the basics, but if you want a lot of flexibility and options, it has it. I have been using it for years and love it.
