WARNING: If you received a refurbished LS670 from Sprint as a replacement, you might run into troubles trying to use the LG Mobile Support Tool to update to VC/VD. See this post for details on how to tell if you are affected by this problem. You can still revert to V9 and root. However if your refurbished unit is affected by this problem you will NOT be able to upgrade to the VC/VD using the LG Mobile Support Tool. You will need to force flash VC/VD using KP500. Instructions for how to do force flash VC/VD are in the reference section of this post.

ok.. you need to make sure you have usb debug on as well as the drivers so your pc can see the device. We will be using adb.


Do u have all of this? I know u have the mobile update tool already

well looks like you dont get into adb til later on into the process. I would advise you to read thru how to do this and then try. There are a lot of steps but its def the way u wanna go. You will be using the command prompt at first tho.

Shouldnt I download everything I need right off the bat? so really do I need the adb and how do I get it working? it only mentions it Once on that page :/

I would start there... and dont download anything til it tells you to. This way you wont get confused on what is what... IMO

in the "revert to ls670v9" thread, i would suggest following the "force flash VD" substitute instructions at the bottom of the first post instead of force flashing V9, since you'd need to flash VD anyways and you'll still end up being able to install reborn in the custom recovery.

I keep getting error "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\LGMOBILEAX\image\header_bg.gif was not found" even when installed on the pc

after you have root.. we need to check your recovery. Then we can do a custom ROM.
