I got a 32GB Note 5 recently and realised that it is already running out of space, but i am quite certain that i haven't used up that much of space.

The application shows that it has occupied 22.4GB, but I manually calculated all the apps which only makes up less than 3GB. Yes, that much of difference!

Anyone encounters anything similar? Please help me out thanks guys!

Welcome to Android Central! Using My Files, look through the various directories for any very large files (often .obb files). Concentrate on the /Android/data directory. If you find some big .obb files, and you can tell that they're associated with apps or games that you've since uninstalled, then delete the files.

I tried resetting my phone as i couldn't find anything (inside android/data and etc..) . Then few weeks later now, the same thing persisted, where my storage is slowly chipped away gb by gb each a few days. Helppp :(

I had a similar issue and found out that an app was showing a size much larger than actual. Try looking at the application manager and look at the downloaded apps and then look at the file size under the app names. Scroll down and you might see one that shows its size in GBs. I had to then uninstall that app to get the space back.
