Using a T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 2 flip case...

I went all over town looking at AT&T stores and I couldn't find a Samsung flip case in titanium gray. So I figured going into a T-mobile store and then they had some in stock (2 out of 5 stores) so I guess most people are running next door instead of waiting for AT&T flip cases to be restocked. So I bought it for $42 dollars out the door. The question is...what about the NFC device/chip that is on the battery door? Same thing? This is my first time using a NFC equipped phone. Thanks in advance.

I have it and the NFC works, I used it to pair my Motorola bluethooth headset.
