Using developers options

I apologize if I have written this post already. I just cannot seem to find my old post. my question is has anyone used the developer options to limit the amount processes running in the background or to check the box that kills anything after you exit. I wonder if any of these things will influence the behavior of certain apps like my alarm clock.
