Using internet while on call

Straight talk customer friend of mine, can not text or use internet while on call. Is there a way to change this? Using galaxy s8

I use a Straight Talk AT&T sim in my unlocked S8 Plus and can use the internet during a phone call. Haven't done anything to any settings as far as I know. Not sure why mine works but glad it does. Wish I could cite a specific setting for you.

Usually any GSM company should let you use internet and phone at the same time

I have a Galaxy S8 Unlocked with Verizon and out of the box was not letting me use internet and phone and I was so afraid I was going back to the stone age but I pigged thru the settings and found an option "Voice over LTE" and now I can use internet while on a phone call
