I ordered the rezound on another line that didnt currently have data through amazon wireless. I added the cheapest data plan knowing I was going to cancel it and transfer the phone over directly. Now I find this. Has anyone been through this before with amazon wireless ? I need a new phone, but my line isn't eligible for an upgrade. Another line in my family account is eligible. Can I get a new phone for my line by using the upgrade of the other line in my family account?Whilecarriers may offer the option to swap upgrades between different lines on the same family account, this option isn't available through AmazonWireless. I have to idea about AW but it seems like you already answered the questions you asked in your post. With Verizon, yes, you can immediately use another lines eligible upgrade on the same account to purchase a phone for another line. Sounds like you can't work around that fact through AW cuz of that policy.
Yeah i went ahead and called and they said if I was to deactivate the data or transfer phone to another line they would be alerted by Verizon and they lose there $250 commission. That is where the fee comes in. Oh well. Guess I'll be sticking with the thunderbolt for a while longer. Not willing to pay $299 for a phone that's offered for $150 elsewhere.
There are other 3rd party deals floating around out there but I'm sure most would have their own policy hoops to jump through. I will say this, it's worth every penny of $299 once you run Clean Tool and get rid of the junk they threw on it.

It is worth it to note that costco wireless does not have a this 181 day clause, but most 3rd Party do. I was able to pick up the rezound for $50 on upgrade and transfer it to a different line without any problems.
Are you serious, $50? That fact alone is worth a years membership to Costco, even if you never visited the store again in 2012. Hope the OP reads this but I'm sorry I did. lol

You don't need to be a member of costco to use costco wireless online. In store though, you either need to be a member or have a costco cash card or go in with someone who does. The deal is not valid anymore, i was just commenting on the 3rd party thing.
I used to be a member quite a few years back. Didn't realize they even offered wireless through Costco. That's interesting that they offer public wireless sales outside of their direct stores. Quite surprising considering Costco greeters always acted like a Gestapo checkpoint when I went in there to buy biz supplies.

It is actually a 3rd party to Costco, called Wireless Advocates. They have a deal to allow them to have a kiosk in costco. Think of them as a partner of costco, but not owned by costco. They do retain the 90 day return policy that costco has for select electronics as well.
You might be able to use the kiosk without a membership, I haven't verified it, but I have used the independent optometrist inside costco, they didn't require me to have a membership to go in, I just told them I am here to see the optometrist.
