Is there anyone out there that is using a rom like CyanogenMod or any others and finding it stable? I'm not so much sick of touchwiz, as I am with all the Samsung crap that I can't get rid of, or that I have absolutely NO use for that Samsung installs.....I have a Nexus 7, running pure Android Lollipop, and I'm telling you it is such a different experience without all the crap installed.....So I need to know what anyone suggests for something as close to a pure Android form as there is for the Tab S 10.5. I see some ppl using a build of CyanagenMod for the Tab S 8.4, but nothing for the 10.5...not to sure if there is a big difference, but I don't want to take a chance on something going wrong.....Thanks a lot in advance for any input.

I am using IronRom version 1.9.7 with SkyHigh Kernel. Previously I had debloated the stock rom and it was ok. Then I tried IronRom and it is 10x better. Much smoother and bloat free. Combined with the SkyHigh kernel I am getting amazing battery life. I can typically get about 6 - 8 hours of use before needing to charge. I don't use my Tab for extended periods but more along the lines of 1 -2 hours each day. Previously I had to charge the Tab every other day, regardless if I used it or not. The standby battery drain was significant. Now with SkyKernel I can go about a week without charging (assuming about 1 hour use a day, longer if not used). SkyHigh Kernel was definitely the contributor here and not the Rom.

Note, I am still using the KitKat version of both the IronRom and Sky-high kernel. Both are available for Lollipop, however I do not see much advantage in Lollipop and my Tab is working perfectly for me, so no compelling reason to upgrade in my eyes.

Thanks for all the feedback ...I just downloaded and Installed IronRom 2.3.5 running Android 5.0.2, and it runs very well thanks :) This was my first attempt at installing a rom on any of my devices, and just followed the instructions from a youtube video.....It was really a piece of cake!!! Thanks again ...Oh and BTW In the process I brought the free space on my internal drive to 4 GB , just by getting rid of the Samsung bloatware that they include! I was getting pretty close to running out of storage before the installation of IronRom! Thanks again :)

Can you post a link to the YouTube video? I have a rooted Tab S 10.5 & thinking of going to a different ROM.

A little update....I was looking for something that would give me a more of a pure Android experience like I have on My Nexus 7...... While I like my Samsung Galaxy Tab s 10.5 , it has never been as smooth as my Nexus 7.... This is why I went with the IronRom......It freed up some space on my internal memory, while seemed to speed things up a bit! .... Now I just decided to install CyanogenMod 12.1 for the Samsung Galaxy tab S 10.1, and I have to say that it is identical to my Nexus 7! It has the speed the interface, and I got rid of ALL the Samsung bloatware that was installed on my 10.5 ...I would suggest CyanogenMod 12.1 if you want a pure Android experience ...here is a link to another youtube video for the install *note* this is for CyanogenMod 12 and it has since been updated to 12.1 ...good luck!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K96siaPKtrU

Thanks for the links. I flashed the IronRom, so far every thing is fine. Think I'll stay away from the CM12 for now.
