I'm having a really hard time getting Android Auto to launch with my S7 Edge and Mophie Juicepack. I got it to work once but dont know how or why. It is flawless if I don't use the case. Tried Anker, and also the cable that came with the Mophie. So far, no luck. Not sure what I'm missing. I have a Kenwood DDX9702S for a head unit.

What about the cable that came with the phone? USB Debugging on? Tried switching the USB mode (from charging to transfer, etc)?

Just shooting out some things worth trying.

Yeah, I had meant to update the OP. So I've tried with both the Mophie cable, and an Anker one. It worked suddenly one time with the Mophie cable, but haven't gotten it to work since. Pass through works as it should. If I connect it to a PC it detects the phone just fine and have full functionality. USB Debugging doesn't seem to make a difference, and the default connection mode is MTP.

I had gotten one originally, but took it back because I thought it was just a flaw with the product, and did not further troubleshoot. But indications seem to be that it should work with no issues because of the pass through function. So this is the second Mophie I've had.

The receiver I'm using is a Kenwood DDX9702S, I actually have 2 of these units and both exhibit the issue. I have been unable to find any setting on the head unit that might be causing it... Any help is appreciated.

Well now it works! I haven't changed anything and its now working with both cables on both head units.. really strange.. Hoping it stays that way! LOL

I'm having the exact same issue. I recently upgraded to a Galaxy S7 (not Edge) and decided to get a Mophie case as well. The Android Auto in my car works perfectly without the case on my phone but it fails to register the device with the case on. Communication with my computer still works with the case on however.

Have you found a fix for this yet? I'd hate to have to take my phone out of the case every time I want to use Android Auto.

No, Mophie was of no help. I eventually sold the phone. It's disappointing that this happened.
