AC Question

I have an nvidia shield tablet but would quite like to use a pen with it. It seems the official one is not available anymore but I have a Surface Pro 4. I read that works but when I tried it I had to press quite hard so it wasn't very reliable.

Is there a way to make it more sensitive / reliable or is there another pen you can use on this tablet?

I had to look up what pen tech the shield used and it doesn't support NTrig which is what the Surface uses, you won't get pressure sensitivity as it requires technology in the screen itself.

From what I can tell, the shield used a regular capacitive stylus that was shaped different, and software was able to measure pressure based on how deformed the tip became from pressure.

You probably need to find the original stylus, or you won't get proper pressure.
