using Tasker to activate hands free mode

I would like to set up Tasker to activate hands free mode when it connects to my cars bluetooth, and then turn it off when the bluetooth disconnects. I already have it set up to launch Pandora, but I cant figure out how to activate the hands free car Mode. Does anyone know how to do this?

You can do that without Tasker. Goto Settings - Location Services - My Places

I followed your instructions, and saw where to add car by connecting to bluetooth. How do I then tell it to turn the driving mode on and off?

Mine disables driving mode, when I disconnect. I don't know if I did anything special.

I never got my places to work, but i dowloaded a widget and used it as an intent in tasker, and it works fine. thank you.

Hi hope you can help, what widget did you use? I'm having a similar problem since upgrading to 4.3 "driving mode" on 4.2.2 used to autoconnect via "my places" even though I've set this up in 4.3 "hands free mode" doesn't auto start.

Am I missing something or is tasker the only option?

search for driving mode widget. its basically an app that just makes a button to switch it off and on, but if you use tasker, you can auto start it. thats all i could think of, besides trying nfc.
