I have a Pioneer NEX8100 radio with Samsung S5, and Android Auto is working nicely. However I'm considering switching to the LG V10. Since it runs 5.1 it should support Android Auto, but I was wondering if anyone had any particular experience?

Have a V10 and Pioneer AVH 4100NEX....Android Auto works fine. Connection good. Music from phone or apps (Pandora, TuneIn, etc) all work. Problems are when I try to play media when only connected through Bluetooth (i.e., when not connected to head unit through AA)....here connection Bluetooth drops completely if I launch any music app. I then have to turn Bluetooth on and off to re-establish Bluetooth connection, etc. I cannot get media to play at all unless running through AA. Kind of frustrated because I don't want to be limited this way.

I have a Bose Bluetooth speaker which works fine in this regard so I fear it's an issue with the phone and Pioneer head units. Tho I've seen posts in other forums reporting similar problems with non-Pioneer head units

obviously not android auto, but i have no problems with the V10 and my 300c with Uconnect and bluetooth.

although I have read about people having issues with Bluetooth, like the above post

I have the same unit (4100NEX) and I usually have to plug the phone in twice to get it to launch AA. First time I plug it in it just says it's charging. Other that that, it works fine.

Just wanted to provide an update on this. I've had the V10 for a couple months now, and it's awesome. Works flawlessly with my Pioneer and Android Auto. I also had the Bluetooth problem, but a recent Android OS update fixed that.
