v10 turns on by itself

hi guys, I just got my v10 on verizon 2 days ago. im have a strange problem, when i charge the phone over night I first turn it off and then plug it in. i notice when i wake up in the morning the phone is on. is that normal? i do have the charger plugged into a 3 hour timed outlet, so after 3 hrs the power to the charger is turned off. not sure why the phone would turn back on?

If I remember right, the phone turns itself on when you plug plug it in to charge. Try plugging it in, THEN turning it off.

ok, last night i plugged the phone it to be charged, i then turned the phone off and went to sleep. i woke up in the morning and the phone was on and fully charged?? i have no idea what would cause that. as a test i drained the phone to 90% then plugged it in to charge while it was still on. i then turned it off and let it charge for an hour. i then unplugged it to see if that would cause it to turn on and it did not. so i dont know why overnight it would turn on by itself?

I noticed the same. I have now been plugging in the phone to charge, waiting a few minutes, then turning it off. Now it is off in the morning. Seems to be something in the software that turns on the phone when it starts charging. Wonder if it is the phone or Android 5.1?

Lots of reasons. Message buzzing is annoying, spam callers call me, & yes I could turn notifications on & off, redirect all my calls and switch off voicemail. If only there was a button that one-touch did all these things. You could label it "off" whenever you didn't want your phone "on".

...... or I just plain turn things off when I don't need them, even.

There is a button in the pull down shade... Interruptions. If you don't want anything going off, click all interruptions 2 times and you set no interruptions. Not even an alarm will make a sound.

I love the Interruptions settings. I have everything off from 11 PM to 7:30 Am except calls from specific people.
