Probably sticking with mine until the 2018 crop of flagships. I'm really surprised how well the performance on this phone has held up. I just set up a mint v20 i got on eBay for her for $275. What a freaking steal this phone is at that price.
If that happens it will go one of two ways. There will be die hard "V20 for life due to removable" (kind of like what we had with the Note 4) -- and then some who accept the inevitable (which that is what it would be at that point) and just upgrade to either the V30 or some other phone.
It might be hard to accept, and might take awhile. Just like it will be hard for REAL die hard Apple fans that loved the headphone jack to accept that it's gone. I don't think I'll upgrade anytime soon as the V20 still amazes me. Camera is great but not mind blowing, still good for everyday use. Battery is phenomenal, and the removal battery is a privilege to have. V20 is a phone that will be in the history books, known for so many great things.

Was thinking about grabbing one of these as my next phone and retiring my Moto Turbo 2. I'm at the point were I'm gonna get the last generation of flagship phones because I don't want to pay full price or go monthly installments for two years on Verizon for the newest stuff. Also, this phone currently seems to be aggressively prices on other for sale sites. From everyones experience, it seems like this has been an overall really good phone for everyone. Looking for some reassurance, tbh.... Thx all!

I'll be coming from a Moto device, the Moto X Pure Edition. I've had it since October 2015, and it's on its way out (battery not lasting, random reboots, running hot). I don't want another Moto, since I had to send the MXPE back for warranty service 2 times in the first year I had it.Was thinking about grabbing one of these as my next phone and retiring my Moto Turbo 2. You can add me to the list next week. I ordered an unlocked 64GB V20 in silver from Amazon.
The main camera on the V20 is f1.8, so not really much of a leap there and I doubt the one on the V30 will contribute much to better low light abilities. The V20 also already uses a glass lens, as obviously demonstrated by "shattergate." Improvements to the wide angle lens may be better, as it's newer technology and thus more open to improvements. The V30 camera is going to be a huge leap up this year with the F1.6 aperture lens for much better low light photos, and the glass camera lens. I didn't know all cell phones have plastic camera lens. Going glass will be much better.

Oh and of course the OLED screen. Hate the LCD.

The V20 is still one of the best cameras around in smartphones. The V30 may offer some marginal refinements, but I doubt it'll be a huge leap.
If they both are, that would be excellent. If they went the F1.6 primary and F2.4 wide angle, I'd be very disappointed. It looks like both cameras will be the same resolution so that should help the wide angle.
