I won't say smartest thing, however it makes sense to borrow from someone successful.

I like the looks of UX 6.0 and the better AOD of UX 6.0+. The widget I don't need and probably won't use, but it's nice to have.

Looks like Samsung's edge apps. The UI layout looks very similar to the S8. Looks like an AMOLED burn-in waiting to happen.



Always on display looks nearly identical to Samsung's. V30 = generic Samsung phone?

To me it isn't. I like LGs icons much more. The Samsung icons and navigation buttons have some kind of childish cartoon look.

And with a cool launcher (Got Nova?) And custom icons you could probably get that now if you wanted, or not. I like the new look personally, might not need a launcher app with the V30, a first for me, and that would be saying a lot! As I really love the costumation launcher apps give you, and no root needed!

How would LG "borrow" features from a device that was released less than 4 months ago? Even the Chinese OEMs aren't capable of that kind of turnaround time!

It is very clearly copying the Galaxy S8.
