V6 Supercharger

HOLD THE PHONE...(literally) with V6 my phone just rang and within 1 ring the screen cleared up and was visible without touching it.

Can anyone confirm?

BTW, this is a much faster and more user friendly method of installing. Ignore the instructions in the thread, this works even better

- Download update 8 to sdcard root directory.
- Start Terminal Emulator and type the following
- su
- cd /sdcard
- sh V6*
- choose option 0 (fastest scroll)
- choose 2 (this has worked best for me, but feel free to experiment)
- choose option 16 to reboot

So wait, your saying its faster and it fixes things... nope can't be true. That would be too easy!!!

Seriously thought what ROM is everyone using for this I read over the post on it and it says its ROM independent but I have learned a long time ago with linux nothing is really universal. Just wondered if there was a difference in the ROMS, I'm using the Cosmic Experia v3.5 I get a 1100ish Quardant score without overclock I will let you know what I get afterwards.

OK just installed it and I see no difference at all when using the Experia ROM (could already have this integrated). If anything it could have actually cause some issues that I didn't have with Experia. No Change in the quadrant score either. I supposed for a lot of ROMs this would and does work but I think the guy who did experia has done atleast some of what this does already if I remember correctly.

your correct donavan but once you flash another kernel on top of it, it loses its effect.

FWIW, I am on stock 7.2 CM from adfadd. Overclock at 768 and had a Quad score of 1360.

Additional info: its actually 2 rings and it only works this fast on the nexus live wallpaper. Anything else takes 6 + rings

I just used the script and saw some improvement in DeviceMark from 570+ to 654. Not sure what that equates to in real world use, but the phone does seem faster. However, I also switched my launcher to Launcher Pro from the stock LG home.

Oh, I'm also on the stock ROM if that matters. Really would like to speed up the phone, but it sounds like doing a new ROM is the way to really beef up my Thrive.
