vanilla android on S3

just out of curiosity:

On the s2 you could download a vanilla like skin from Sprint ID, are you able to do the same with the S3 or do you have to root?

My upgrade is finally here..well will be first of Sept. I am really liking the features on this phone, but am still on the fence (should a hold out a little or bite the bullet).

Sprint ID doesn't come preloaded on this phone. There is only one Sprint app preloaded. That would be Sprint Zone.

That sucks. I am probably going to upgrade to the S3 this weekend if they dont announce Sprint availability on the Note 2 this week. For once, I find the preinstalled bloatware useful and now they take it out.
