Anyone in here who got the OnePlus 6T for Verizon have any issues with the device or service? With no cdma are you running into any issues? I have read that you either need to get a new sim or add CDMA less device to get texting to work correctly. Any input about using this phone for Verizon and what you had to do to get it running right would be great. Thank you

I purchased my 6T direct from OP. So it is the international version (dual sim).

My experience is plug and play (with caveat depending on what type of SIM you have). Sim 1: Verizon, Sim 2: Tmobile. Worked right out of the bat.

Now.. here is a requirement for Verizon that I personally found out. Check your SIM, it needs to say Verizon 4G LTE. I had 2 other iterations, V (from iPhone), Verizon 4G (samsung).

Transferring number to a different SIM, if you have extra one, is easy. I managed to change it online. At least for me when I changed SIM, I had to go through 'changing' my plan because the 4g lte SIM has 'different' features than my 'other' sim which to made little sense.

If you use the 'other' 2 sim I mentioned, your data and phone calls may work, but not sms and mms.

Again, I was able to do all this without calling Verizon. I have now verified and working LTE data transfers on Verizon, sms, mms, calls of course. Same with Sim 2: Tmobile, works just the same.

So yes, I am very happy with the 6T. I have waited for a very long time and spent too much money trying a dual sim for that will work with Verizon.

Hope this helps.

Interesting, also got a 6T from One+ unlocked. I have a SIM from my (Verizon) Pixel 2 XL. It just has the V on it. My 6T works perfectly, it shows VoLTE / LTE+ on the status bar. Calls, SMS, MMS all work. I had to call CS to activate the phone because there was / is an issue in my account that doesn't let me switch devices (I can just select "complete upgrade" and don't even get to enter SIM info page). Tech support is still trying to fix it, it's been a week...but I never mentioned the CDMA-less fix to them, it has worked since day 1.

I have one small issue with my mms. Do you notice if you are receiving compressed pictures? I am receiving thumbnail sized pics. I cant seem to go into my APN settings and modify it. Can you access your APN?

I got a photo from a friend who is on an iPhone and it was normal sized. My APN setting shows "VZWINTERNET." I can't edit it, all the settings are grayed out.

You can't edit them. You have to create a new APN profile at the top right of the screen, then save and select that new profile. Call Verizon customer service and they can tell you the precise values for each field that you need to enter.
