Verizon 7.0 "swipe screen to open" notification

Last week I got the 7.0 update. Previously when my phone was unlocked (such as at home) I would click a notification and then it would directly open the app. Now upon clicking the notification my phone goes to a screen saying "swipe screen to open." I now have to do an extra swipe anytime I open a notification. Is there any way to disable this? I've been googling it and this new change is beyond annoying.

I'm having this same issue. It's extremely annoying and I can't find any way to disable it. As a matter of fact, I can't find any reference to it on the internet other than this post.

Were you able to figure out how to disable it?
