Verizon and Google's Chrome OS

Anyone else find Google's announcement that Verizon will offer no contract data options for Chrome OS Devices (netbooks I am guessing) interesting?

--$9.99 per day for unlimited data use
--1 GB for $20 per month
--3 GB for $35 per month
--5 GB for $40 per month

Any guesses on the future of Android and Chrome OS? Will we see Chrome Tablets instead of Honeycomb Tablets?
