Another question

Is it uncommon for vzw to release two different devices on the same day?

No flash until spring? (FOR THE XOOM) Add that to this jacked up launch and I'm starting to wonder what the he'll has happened to Big Red?

ha, they're deleting em' as fast as they're coming in too. mine got wiped out... i think they get the point now. plus, nobody cares about another flash'less tablet.

yup mine are gone so i just added more lol.

also phil just posted in the rumored forum about sprint announcing/releasing a new phone on the 24th same day as t bolt an xoom.

i replied if he is still sticking with the 24th for us

Hahahaha. I noticed the same thing. I guess they don't want that pesky device people ACTUALLY want to get in the way of the Xoom.

You all get that the Xoom Flash debacle has jack sh!t to do with VZW, right ? That's strictly between Moto's hardware, HoneyComb, and Adobe.

Everyone just loves to point the "wtf is wrong with you" finger at Big Red lately.

Well, by the looks of it he's sticking to his rumored date. Personally, I kind of don't want the phone to be released until after the 24th... just to point out the fact that people shouldn't believe the blogosphere. It would be a good wake up call to many and hopefully prevent false reports in the future as we can all say next time, "well remember the whole Thunderbolt debacle?!?"

Actually, it is important. Since it is a 4G tablet, Verizon's first 4G device (apart from USB radios), it seems to indicate a relative degree of confidence in their 4G network. A relatively positive sign for the Thunderbolt.

Oh really? VZW couldn't have had Moto hold off on the device until Flash was ready? Yeah, they could have and Moto would have listened. 28% of Moto's profit last year was from VZW... they would have listened.

Either that or they PLANNED on selling the tablet on the 24th & got nervous of flooding the network by releasing 2 potential big sellers on the same day. Last thing they want are people complaining how slow 4G is.

It has 4G capabilities, but at launch it is only enabled for WiFi and 3G. The 4G radios are supposedly in there and it can be unlocked with a Moto promised OTA update.

So, I don't think the "network demand" issue is really what caused it.

Clearly VZW's LTE network is not ready for prime time which is what is holding up the Thunderbolt launch.
