Verizon Backup Assistant Error

I keep getting Verizon Backup Assistant error notifications despite the fact I don't use it and have never signed in. My maxx is now wifi only and I have no use for backup assistant.
I tried to freeze it but you can't. I tried to sign in just to stop notifications but it won't let me sign in some error probably because I have mobile data shut off and phone is no longer on my vzw account. What can I do?

BTW, again my only data is wifi. Will I continue to get updates?

A shot in the dark probably, but maybe you can un-install the last Verizon OTA from back in October?

You mean update of phone or backup assistant app? I never got the phone update because I'm wifi only. Can't uninstall phone updates anyway. I also never updated backup assistant since I never use it. Only way it's updated is if it did it itself.

i dont use backup assistant plus. i never have used it. i dont want to use it. any way to just make it go away? any setting or something so it will never try to sync?

If you have an unrooted vzw maxx hd there is no way to disable the app. when you go to all apps and open the app there is no disable option.
