Verizon brings back 10gb/$80,15gb/$100

I noticed this as well the other day. I figured they would announce something like this but .. guess not :).

This plan stuff is always very confusing and they always seem to target new people rather than existing customers. However I see there is a link to change your plan if you are an existing customer. I only have one smartphone my husband has a dumb phone and it looks like they're taking 10 bucks off of his if I were to do some sort of switch but what happens with mine I have yet to figure out . Going to try to look this over more closely tonight. Thank you for posting this.

Yeah I would contact them. They do offer it for the new customers but old customers can contact them and ask for the change.

Correct, existing customers would have to request the change. You can do it online or by calling in. I prefer online so I know that a rep didn't mess something else up

Gave the online version a try overnight. Looks like I already have a discount for something but did not find a way to change hubby's dumb phone to subtract the $10. The discount was for about $7 and change. If I wanted to lower my data price it was going to make me go from 4 to 3 gigs of data. Have always thought their plan changes require more explanation online.

GET IT IN WRITING !!!!! I had 2 smart phones & 1 regular phone & was paying $225 per month. I wanted to switch to the new $80 / 10GB plan with $15 for each phone. They told me I must get a smart phone to replace the regular phone, so I did. They assured me my bill would be $80 + $45 + about $27 for taxes & surcharges for a total of about $152.00.
I got my new bill & it was $239.00. I protested it and finally got it reduced to about $177.00. The new iPhone 5c i got from Verizon is going to cost me $25 for 24 months or a total of $600.00. $177,00 is much better than the $225.00 I was paying, so it's OK, but still not what they assured me it would be.

Sounds like toy were given inaccurate information. Currently for 10gb with 3 smartphones on contract it is $80+40+40+40. Off contract is $80+15+15+15. Plus taxes and fees

Looks like it makes good $ sense to buy phones outright from Swappa and go back off contract when my 2 years is up.

I live out in the boonies where I have to use my phone to tether. I went the 10gb $80 plan last time it was offered. This time I moved up to the 15gb for $20 more. If T-Mobile had better service, I'd be with them.

Or edge, which essentially is the same thing except on your bill over 24 months.
