Verizon Droid DNA - ringing from the earpiece

My phone randomly starts this ringing in the earpiece like an alarm is going off. Before I just restarted my phone and it would stop. Now it does it even when my phone is turned off. Any suggestions on how to fix this or why it is happening?

I am not rooted, this has happened only a few times since I have owned the phone, just curious but it sure is annoying when it does happen.
