i just called my voicemail and while that was on speaker i went on chrome and looked up some info on amazon. next time i'm on the phone with someone i'll do another check.

Just tested it out. It seems like yes they will simultaneously work. I have a 4g lte signal, not sure if that makes a difference or not.

It supports svlte (simultaneous voice and data on lte)

It does not support svdo (simultaneous voice and data on evdo(3g))

Yup, I don't think there will be many phones on Verizon anymore that support SVDO considering their continuing expansion of LTE and its support of SVLTE. If memory serves the only phones on Verizon that support SVDO yet are the Thunderbolt, Rezound and Galaxy S3 (not sure about the Galaxy S4).

To support SVDO (simultaneous voice and data over CDMA/3G) requires an extra radio and antenna setup. AnandTech has a good write up on this in their Thunderbolt review here: AnandTech - HTC Thunderbolt Review: The First Verizon 4G LTE Smartphone

Most newer phones don't have this setup primarily due to the aforementioned rollout/support of SVLTE, but also probably due to the extra hardware cost of the unique radio/antenna setup and complexity of managing those radios so they don't exceed FCC SAR requirements. Again, see the AnandTech article. :)
